PhD and Postdoctoral Research Opportunities

We welcome applications from excellent and enthusiastic students and postdoctoral researchers to join the Modeling Laboratory Group. We receive a very high number of applications and successful PhD applicants will typically have graduated with a high First class honours degree and have research experience. Successful postdocs will have a strong publication record and proven track record in high quality research.

The Group attracts some of the very best researchers from all over the world and from many different backgrounds – the group hosts bioengineers, chemical engineers, chemists, engineers, physicists and materials scientists who are looking for an opportunity to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary and collaborative research environment.

Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in chemical engineering or a comparable subject, very good knowledge in polymer synthesis. Prior knowledge in sol-gel methods as well as experience in numerical methods are desired. Independent work style and high level of commitment. Good command of English is required; willingness to learn Turkish.

We aim to be one of the best academic study groups. We conduct design, modeling and research and development studies in various fields such as energy, artificial intelligence, materials science within the scope of the chemical engineering discipline. In addition, we train our undergraduate and graduate students and post-doc researchers in the best way by giving active roles in our academic studies.

Modeling Laboratory principles advise us to be disciplined, innovative and solution-oriented when conducting our research and development work. We advocate that it is necessary to take risks and engage in innovative studies in order to move the laboratory forward.
