Modeling Laboratory group uses advanced modeling techniques to provide synthesis, modeling and analysis in chemical engineering for a wide range of energy, biomedical, material science and defense-related applications.

Bioengineering is a discipline that applies engineering principles of design and analysis to biological systems and biomedical technologies.

Material Science

Material Science, also commonly termed materials science and engineering is the design and discovery of new materials, particularly solids.


Energy is the ability to do work, and work is moving something against a force, like gravity. There are a lot of different kinds of energy in the universe, and that energy can do different things.

Process Design

Process design is the choice and sequencing of units for desired physical and/or chemical transformation of materials.

Defense-related Applications.

Defense-related is the application of technology for use in warfare. It comprises the kinds of technology that are distinctly military in nature and not civilian in application.
